It appears you've misrepresented yourself.

It seems you are a mechanic trying to get free information, not an enthusiast owner trying to fix his/her own 928.

Sean is always trying to get free information, but he at least owns a 928.

No misrepresentation here, just going along the the other BS. But as already proven, it doesn't matter who I may or may not be, the answer is obviously not here.

To finish Sean's drawn-out response:

.00

#20 in the diagram. Gathering all Sean's hints: 944.110.429.00.

Look familiar? Part of the tank ventilation system. Should be about a $50 to $60 part.

This is the part I am looking for....none of the diagrams list it, just as this one from the Porsche website.

Yep, I think that is it....but don't remember it have 3 hoses connected to it...could be wrong....
If so, the diagram I posted is not the right part...it only has 2 hoses. It looks more like #20 in Ed's diagram.

Your customer might not want to spend that much. Do you have an extra one on that parts car you are trying to get rid of?

Sorry i just saw your car year,
i thought for some reason that you were working on an older car the 86 has the #20 part as posted no elex connections..its a fuel vent valve

So I have a question why are others here questioning your questions and who you might be??
Are you a mechanic?
are you selling 928 parts,or cars??

Wow, who pissed in your Rice Krispie's? I welcomed you and made a friendly suggestion to help you find the right part. Joining was suggestion, not a requirement. Thankfully others came to your aid. Oh well-the money you'll save on the membership will help pay for the parts...

Hey agood1 (Trigger) (I assume that is trigger happy),

Are your manners here the same as in social settings and your working environment?
Or do you have a friends list that numbers zero? And maybe you don't work which is why you seem so cheap when it comes to buying a recommended part from some veteran 928 OWNERS who are trying to assist you? Well, at least you are paying NOTHING for the advise (membership included which is ridiculously inexpensive, I might add) so it is keeping with your spending habits.

You are lucky you got the advise you got with such a pissy attitude.

By the way, why is it on the Pelican parts forum you claim to have a 928 and here you are claiming to be a mechanic who works on "hundreds" of cars a month but 'don't see too many Porsches'? My mechanic who works on far less than "hundreds" of cars a month subscribes to a web based automobile shop manuals service so he doesn't screw up his clients cars. With so many manufacturers and models out there that are changing designs so often, how do YOU keep up with proper data? WEB FORUMS??!?!?!?

Well, you get what you give.... and so far, you have given nothing but acidic criticism of people trying to help you.

Lighten up buddy or you'll have no place here. We are a friendly bunch when respect is observed.
You owe Sean and Michael Rubin a public apology.
