Should I have coolant in this line?
I am removing the air distributor to refresh rubber lines. I have a 79 5 spd and I pulled the oil fill cap off to make some room. There is a large line that runs from the cap along the left side of the engine and connects to the air filter housing (breather I assume).
Up front there is another line that Y's into this breather from under the air distributor (still not off the car) not yet identified. I pulled this line off in order to get the breather completely out of the way. When I pulled it off anti freeze was in the line (several large drops).
Seems strange to have anti freeze up that far into this breather line.
All thoughts welcome! Well relating to this issue. This is a dangerous crowd to leave that huge an invitation open.
Thanks

yes this is the heater for the vapor line return to the intake.
It is tapped into the coolant so the smaller metal line has coolant running through it, be careful that whole assembly is no longer available

Thanks all. I see the metal line running inside running from end to end of the breather now. It is in good shape. I need to only refresh the one that runs from the block to the breather.
