Default Coolant?

Hi guys,

Quick question - which coolant should I be buying? Is there any preference? I think I saw someone saying I need yellow colored one, not green. Also, what's preffered - should I buy pre delluted or concentrated one to dillute it myself?

Thanks!

As long as it is not Dexcool about any will do after a good flush with distilled water.

I use the G-05 also.

I can't find the thread b/c I am on my iPhone right now, but I asked this question back around Feb with a great response - general consensus was G-05. Sometime its a bit challenging to find, but NAPA can order some for you for delivery within 24 hours to store if they don't have any. I'll post a link to the thread when I locate it.

Another vote for G-05 and distilled water.

+1 to flushing the system... pop the block plugs and allow all the old fluid drain out.

That other thread had a lot of good information in it, why to do things a certain way, like checking for voltage in the cooling system.

I located the G-05 at the local CarQuest outlet after striking out at the discount retail shops and at NAPA. CarQuest isn't as popular in SoCal as the Advanced/Pep Boys/etc places, but there are lots of them around the country if you look.
