Default Learned something new today

I went and looked at a car that might be for sale and saw a couple of things I had not seen before...

Some plastic trim around the front and rear wheel well openings.. never seen that before!

Also never seen 15" phone dials on a 5spd car and in fact thought all the 5spd cars were standard w/ the 16" wheels...from reading sales literature of the day that is the way it sounded anyway... this was all on an '80 car...

Learn something new every day!

Dude, I gotta ask, were you "looking" at it for you or someone else?

Hmmmm...did you read "5spd car"... do you really think I can drive a 5spd? Man, I am good with hand controls, but not THAT GOOD! FDR was...but that was the old days when he was about the only one WITH a car on most roads...

Totally stock and original... per the owner (who has passed) friend, he was a very tight wad Jew... He was penny wise and pound foolish. Had he spent only a small amount extra to get a 365 GTB Daytona instead of the crappy 4 seat GTC, he would have ended up with a car worth 5X as much maybe?! Same (but to a much lesser extent) w/ the 928... no rub strips, 15" wheels, and the list goes on, just trying to save a buck or two. Oh well... same on his Jag...2+2 vs a real FHC! Give me a break...
