I run DWS on my M3......great tires.....excellent in rain...worlds better than the PS2's I had before....being an all season tire they don't have the grip of the PS2, but are smooth and predictable.....with a far better ride and less noise...
Its nice they have a 50k warranty too

I've got new ones (4000 miles) on the rear with the fronts ready for replacement before winter sets in and they are fantastic IMHO. Was coming through kansas on a road trip and went right through the middle of the remnants of a hurricane with torrential rain and wind. The only reason i had to slow down was due to visibility. My wet traction was rock solid. Great tire a a good price and i will be replacing the fronts with the same in about a month.

I put the DWS on my 86.5 about 500 miles ago, and couldn't be happier with them!!
The traction in dry and wet is AS GOOD as the ultra sticky Dunlops that I took off (course I don't have a blower ). I haven't had a chance to try them in the cold/ice/snow yet, but I am sure that they will be worlds ahead of the Dunlop summer tires if I have to drive in these conditions. Super quiet and very smooth ride. I know they are new, but there is absolutely no flatspotting when I let the shark sit for a week (the Dunlops were awful about this). I have also not felt any tramlining. There is a section of road that is pretty bad about this with some experimental raingrooving, but the DWS's just roll right along. All this and a 50,000 mile warranty.
Most of the reviews that I read on tire websites rated them pretty high as well. Don't know where the DW stacks up against the DWS, but I am really ahppy with mine for all season tires.
Let us know what you get and your impressions after you put some miles on.

warranty on tires?
How do you exercise that when the rears naturally wear slightly more on the inside and the fronts slightly more on the outside from cornering...always get the "nope, these tires do not show normal wear patterns for the warranty to apply".
Hmmm.

Good point......The M3 flat destroys the outside of the front tires if pushed hard....I nearly ruined my factory set of PS2's that way....I would imagine these would be the same...but for street driving they are wearing just fine

Tony, did you buy the summer type? Continental ExtremeContact DW? (not DWS)
If so, how have you found them?
I'm eyeing up these tyres in 245/35/18 and 285/30/18 for some Carerra III rims and these are one of 3 choices on Tirerack in those sizes (Continental DW against BFG KDW's, and Hankook V12's).
I'm put off the KDW's by reports that they're noisy.
edit: Nevermind.. just realised I'm being confused by the American date format, and you bought them a week ago, not 5 months

From the tire rack website, it looks like only the DWS have a mileage warranty. Intersting note that the DWS have a "W" molded into the tread, and when you wear down to where the W is gone, you lose the summer wet rating. Only after losing the "S" snow rating when you lose your S. Three tires in one!

I put some 225/255 DWS tires on 17" Boxter rims on my '85 right before this thread started. I recommend them highly.
Very quiet on the freeway (a pleasure to drive to SF2010 on them), great when dry, and super grippy in the wet. I did non-stop road testing of my chips for about two weeks around X-mas in terrible rainy weather, and could floor it from a rolling start in second, even with 300 rw ft/lbs >2400 rpm. Braking too is excellent in the wet, predictable stopping from triple digits, even over patches of ice.
