Just wondering, but Pelican sells the same or like product with carpet and other material such as vinyl. I wonder how the vinyl looks on the dash compared to the carpet cover. I also saw a kit that was called carbon fiber. Anyways, does anyone have the vinyl kit? thanks

It is black. Comes in my stuff (Tech Fabric), Carpet, or Suede. Almost did suede and I guess I could for the price, only like $45. Now the velcro is down I could change on a whim
Who needs a leather dash, I have (da, da da da!!!) TECH FABRIC (horns sound)

Had a carpet dash cover, it was yucky. This lays very nicely. Just need one more small piece of velcro above the airbag by the defroster vent to get it to stay down.

Its very nice but not available in blue. I guess i could dye it to my liking. ~$50

Coverking has a vinyl carbon fiber for $75 bones. Looks interesting, but i would hate to get it and not like it.

No to steal the thread, but... Jeff - do you have more pictures of your cockpit? I've been thinking of getting those "wooden" overlays for a while, but always wondered how they will make the car look. Any chance you can share the pictures?

Thanks!

I'll take some tonight and post them here. Got them from Nicole at Hooked on Cars. You have to wait a little bit for them to be made or something but they are very nice looking and go on super easy.

After seeing the pictures posted above I didn't see the suede cover posted anywhere so I ordered one to see what it looks like. I will post back after it arrives.

Here's the wood kit. Also a bad photo of the red led interior ambient lighting I put between the visors. Comes on with the lights. POwered off the light in the ashtray.

Agree it's not the best solution but I can't stand looking at lines on the dash. I only had one but that makes my head hurt. Anyway, I do think it looks a bit better in normal light/context since the shot that i took was heavy on the flash. I will try and get another shot using sunlight like the other poster. But for $34, this is a good enough solution for now and yes this is a sem-permanent solution with the velcro.

I was going to get my dash redone while I had it out, but to be honest I couldn't justify the $1000 it was going to take...espeically after spending BIG $$$$ getting the tranny rebuilt...so maybe in a couple of years...

C'est la vie!!

I got the "suede" cover a while back for $40-$45. Honestly I opened the box looked at it and threw it on the shelf. My opinion was that it was very thin and not all that great looking. I ordered off of Amazon from Dash Man. I will see if I can still get some pictures when the snow melts and i can get the car out of the garage.
