New 928 owner!
WHOHOO! Got my first 928 home last night after an adventure with a blown tire on the trailer, luckily just as we came to a stop so no danger.
It is a 1980 Euro S with auto, drives fine and is 99% complete. It has no sunroof, and manual seats so I fit just fine - being 6'8" can be a hassle sometimes! A few minor fixes to attend to and a complete safety and reliability inspection to go through, then we will have a driver that can be rebuilt as we go! Hopefully we can drive it for a month before the snow flies here. Still grinning and looking forward to the experience of a 928!

Welcome Allan!
Congratulations! Sounds like you had trouble sleeping last night. I'm guessing you just got back in from standing next to it with a cup of coffee just staring at it.
Sounds like a great car and perfect for you.
Good luck with it and keep us posted on any work you do on it.
We're going to need to see some pics!

Congratulations. This is the place to forum to be a member of. New owner for a month now and already had couple of local guys help with tools and knowledge transfer and some wrench turning. Not because I was a member, but because everyone here is dedicated to these cars. Sounds like you fit right in. One bit of advise.
If your married and are out with your wife, learn to not let here see you staring at it when you are walking away from it, especially if you give it a female name.
Post those pics! and enjoy

Yep - second that on the 928 OC. Greatlooking car. It doesn't matter how long you've owned one, or how many you've had - you never stop looking over your shoulder at it as you walk away - they are like a siren!

Love the color. Glad to see I am not the only one who's carpet is pulling off the sides of the center tunnel.

Congratulations and welcome to the Shark Tank. Read the "New Vistors" thread in its entirety at the top of this forum. Much goodness and wisdom there.

Thanks All,
Had a short drive for gas tonight, no big problems so far. The rear wiper is not engaged on the pin, so add that to the list of details....

Jeff - that is an easy fix. There are two panels - one on each side of the consol, each attached with 2 screws. On each panel, pull the seat back all the way and remove the first screw, then pop out the second screw in the middle of the panel at the bottom, then slide the panel out. If the carpet is pulling back, just reglue and reinstall. It may be that your panels simply aren't installed all the way in, and the carpet is fine - that seems to be more common than the carpet separating. It's a 10 min job.

Hey Al
Glad to see you got it home safe and sound. Under the hood on the passenger side there should be a cover on the hot post, that hex end is 12V live so be careful when you are swinging wrenches around there until you get it covered up.
Looks like a good first shark, have fun with it, she is a beauty! Properly tuned they really haul *** to!
