But when one of these threads comes up I always read it and it always makes me pine for that stunted 928 parts car sitting in my shop collecting dust. I had great plans for it...

That seems the most practical choice for the AT 928. There are several successful SC installations I've read about, but I think the SC is mostly a street rod solution. You'll notice how few SC designs show up in road racing, which is what I enjoy. They have reliability/longevity issues on the track that are hard to discount.
The car I'm working with will never be a street machine, it has no interior and the body work suffered dramatically from spending 20 years in a backyard in S. Florida. It's not going be a head turner, so it's the track or nothing. They shoot horses, don't they?

Thanks, I'll send a ping. The S4 platform has a whole lot more attention when it comes to turbos, I've been in touch with several folks, including Herr Kuhn, on that subject. Unfortunately no one has been wiling to share their experiences with someone attempting to port them to the S3 so far, however I haven't bugged KillaV yet

Please focus your efforts on the 85 turbo project and Coil overs before working on the race car. I'm looking forward to testing your turbo workand install the coil overs.

One note: The intercooler project didn't work out, even the double core one was too much of a restriction (pressure) drop to worth the sacrifice. So it has been in the original, non intercooler form pretty much since the supercharger was installed about 11+ years ago.
