Default Headlamp motor setup

So after my car gets back from the paint shop (when the paintbooth passes inspection, its on an AFB so they are picky) i need to re assemble my headlight set up. whats the best way to go about that. i took the arm off the motor and forgot what possession it was in.

Maybe another local 928'er can come over and let you look at the set up on his car. ( If there are other 928's near by).

not a bad idea. i just cant remember if the arm on the motor is straight up or down.. when lights are up or at rest.

first connect the motor to the harness cable with the arm off.
Then turn on the headlights,
then turn them off .
after the motor has cycled attach the arm so its pointed to about the 6 O clock position,
with the E clips off make sure the transition bar fits easily onto the lower pin.
tighten the nut use a dab of blue loctite on the nut,
cycle the headlamps with the wheel to verify operation,
then try it with the key on

he he he if you get it wrong it may punch a hole in the rad. so be careful

if you cant get the arm to align then move the arm towards the 5 O clock position.
NOTE this would be looking at the motor from the passenger side of the car .
5 O clock would be slightly more towards the front of the car
