Needed: How to change fuel injectors for dummies?
Advice needed.
I bought some Ford 5.0 fuel injectors and of course need help with installation.
And you guys thought I was done with my "Basic" how to questions, didn't you!
I already used search too.
Thanks,

ummm....
disconnect fuel pump fuse, run car til dies
remove air intake and box
remove sides of your organ pipes
remove front and rear connections to fuel rail
remove 10mm holding on fuel rails (i think you may have to take off plug wire holder thinggies too)
remove plugs from injectors
pull up fuel rail with injectors
remove retaining ring on top of injectors
install in reverse... im sure others will fill in what I forgot.

Brian,
Look at dwayne's procedure here:
http://www.dwaynesgarage.norcal928.o...%20Refresh.htm
There is a section (somewhere) on removing and reinstalling the injectors.
It is a step by step procedure from "The Great Dwayne"!
Edit: Just notice your car is a 85. Dwayne's car is a 87. But should help anyway.

Maybe you should do the complete intake job with new rubber parts,ISV,vacuum lines,TPS or the little harness.
The rubber hoses to the oil filler are hard as wood and for 500 $ you have the complete area new.
