I'm hoping the seller knows the diff between an S4 and a GTS.... Prolly not so we'll see what the rear looks like and if the fenders are really flared or not..... If not, they're going to get neg feedback b/c I asked specifically about that and they never responded.... Figured for $30 bucks wasn't much of a risk.
HA

Now we just have another 18-38 days to wait before final judgement

I cant take the suspense!

Update:

It does have the GTS rear end including wider fenders, GTS emblem and GTS reflector.

Seems this 1/43rd scale diecast was made by Minichamps as a giveaway at the 2010 38. Oldtimer Grand Prix Nürburgring in August at the Nürburgring. It is a limited edition of 1000 copies and will not be available for sale. I paid $19.99 for the first one I bought but it came w/o the packaging and the diecast itself is not numbered, the base is..... I paid signifcantly more for the 2nd and 3rd examples I have purchased through eBay.

Here are several others currently on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Here is one example that sold for $155.26:

Others have sold for between $78.00 (I got this one...) and $125.00.

White with maroon interior... Now that's attention to detail. Never did like that color combo.

I found a red S4 in 1/43 ages ago in a diecast model car shop in San Diego. I have yet to see one on ebay. It's made by minichamps also.

1/43 is my new, cost-effective addiction to diecast cars. I also ran out of space for 1/18 scale.

Its actually good that its white. I don't feel so bad about painting few of them in different color. Hopefully high prices these bring will get notices and AutoArt will make more 928 1:18 scale models. Also I think Minichamps will make another colors little later on as making just 1000 would be waste good casting mould.

I still need to get the OB one. I'm also waiting for an S2/S3 1/43 to come out.

Right now I'm chasing after 1/43 Ferraris and cannot seem to find a 550 Maranello to add to my shelf of 12-cylinders

Here's a decent 1/24 scale S4 Euro I found at Walgreens for $9. Not bad if you want to get them to modify and repaint. Made by Motor Max. Wheels turn with steering wheel. I don't really collect 1/24 but, I had to grab it.

I spoke with a model car dealer in Germany on Friday, and he said that Minichamps will come out with a series of these GTS models soon. However, he claimed that they would be in a color different from the special edition for the Oldtimer Grand Prix.

Ha!

I would love to add one in that color combination to my private collection. But it looks like it will be black on grey; available towards the end of the year (around December).

They also announced a minerva blue 928S for December 2010.
