Default Throw out bearing oozes lubricant when being assembled to pressure plate -- normal?

On my '78 928 I have assembled the T.O. bearing and release lever to the pressure plate (new kit) and noticed some dark gray lubricant on the inside tube of the bearing is this normal or is the T.O. bearing faulty? Hope not considering the Sachs T.O. bearing situation.

Hi Greg,The grey colored lube on the inside of the bearing sleeve is there from the factory and is there to lubricate the the snout of the input shaft tube so that the release bearing slides smoothly. It ususally is wiped level into the recess of the bearing and really doesn't need to be too much. Yea, I know about the lube, but he is talking about no more TO bearings, which would be bad, very bad.
Hell, with the price of them now and available it is bad enough.
