Dropped a bolt down an oil passage...now what?

Those pathways are straight you should be able to grab the bolt with a magnet from the oil passage, otherwise it's probably time for a oil pan gasket.

Great idea! Thanks. I've used the extendable pointer sticks with a magnet end but they have to stay straight.

I have a flexible magnet with led light on it from autozone. That plus the flex 'claw' has gotten me out of a ton of jams..
