Default Red warning light in door

The other night I left my hatch open, and didn't realize that the red lights in the door would come on. Ran my battery down. Anyhow I figured out using the search what was wrong.
Now my problem. I cleaned up all 3 door pin switches. If I open the doors, and close them the lights don't go off. If I open the hatch and close it by slamming it they go off. Do I need to replace the pin switches? They don't look bad, and all the connections are tight.
If I remove the bulbs will that stop the drain on my battery till I replace the switches?
Thanks, Joe

Yep, pull the bulbs until you can get new switches.

that says the door pin switches are working and the hatch has failed .

IIRC you can disconnect the hatch lock harness to remove it from the circuit,

also try cleaning the grounds and the harness at the hatch that may be all it needs
