Default Passenger side mirror question

Yesterday when my son got in the car and shut the door we heard a shattering sound! The mirror just came unglued and cracked on the ground. Mostly in two pieces. So my question is is the replacement part the whole mechanism or just the glass? and do I just glue it back on?

The replacement will be the glass and plastic backing with three mounting clips. it also contains the heating element for the heated mirrors. if you turn the mirror all the way in with the electic control you should be able to slide a large flat blade in behind the remaining plastic back and pop the clips loose then unplug the wires for the heating ellement.

Mine did the same thing a few years ago. I just replaced the glass. Plenty on ebay, this the one I used: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/87-91...ts_Accessories

I have found 2 of them in my garage, not sure which sides off hand. You are welcome to them. If you plan on attending Frenzy in a couple of weeks I can bring them to the event.
