When you say "hop", do you mean they chatter as it travels in one of the directions? I had this issue and a littlel tweaking on the wiper arm to correct the angle of the blade cured this issue for me.

Guess I will have to dig into this (remove the wiper system) and see what's up. The suggestions on what to look for are much appreciated.
