Default SF Bay Area Hose Shop

I'm looking for a shop near Fremont or Oakland that will rebuild my trans lines. I've been to two shops in Fremont and both refuse saying they are specialized fittings and that they cannot re-use them.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know about the specific application, but you might try british american transfer. They supply braided stainless lines, lined in several rubbers and teflon, with appropriate fittings and adapters.

I will be using them for my new fuel lines, so I should have more to report in a couple weeks once I decide which adapters and fittings I need. Assembly is DIY, although I imagine they could build them for you if you asked nicely.

I think that is the name of the place. It is at the South East corner of Dolittle and Davis (Actually a block South on Doolittle) The sign is hard to see. They just made up a low side AC hose for me. Cost was $82. The workmanship is good and they included an O ring! I thought it was a bit pricy but they said it takes a lot when the hoses are oil soaked. I guess it was a lot cheaper than an new one at $150.

You might try Hoses Unlimited in San Leandro. They made up several hoses for my airplane some time ago, but I believe that they make hoses for any application (...particularly if the name means anything....). It has been awhile, but this phone number should still be good if they are still around: 510 483 8520.

I buy most of my hose at Target or Walgreens.

Ooops - wrong type of hose.
