ah , ok, the connection on passenger side is not used?
than my problem will be fixed soon, thank u thank u.
i just have to repair the blown diodes, check for shorts, maby the in the magnetic clutch, or the outside temp sensor. now the wiring diagram looks more simple, i could not see that "not used" connector.

can you see wat the wires would have been for,,the ones that have been cut off and have shrinkconnectors ,,it sure isnt stock,,they where completely taped in, i thought that it was for the tempswitch connection.
maby car alarm,,i am guessing.

tomorrow i can take a better picture that shows where they are comming out of the pack

I'm not certain, but my suspicion is they are stereo connections.

There are a whole lot of wires associated with the optional amplifier and hi fi stereo setups in the 84.

The amp is/was located under a cover on between the passenger seat and passenger rocker panel.

The wires run all over the freakin place, including to an adjustment in the analogous panel on the drivers side and beneath the front of the drivers seat... where they connect up to the console and to wires that run down along the drivers tunnel and up, around to the CE panel. I think these might be some of them, but am not sure. The car I showed you has had most of those harnesses removed (by me) but I forget what I took out and why.

Some may be hot. Tape 'em up good.

If you really need to know, I have another 84 in the basement with the amplifier and all wires still installed. But I'd need to do a little disassembly to get to these, and you would need to give me a couple more pictures showing closeup and also relative positioning within the console and where they run to.

yes,,u are the man,
near the seat under a cover i have also found a set of wires that have been cut of and taped, the same tape,
the frontspeakerwires are made longer in that place and return to the dash for an aftermarket radio..
so someone just removed the amplifire , also the speakers in the back where not connected, they are broken,

all i have to do is tape the cutted wires and dont worry anymore,
thank u,,you realy helped me out a lot!

i hope i can fix the heater,,i will let you know! but it will take some time

i just almost repaired the heater, i replaced two diodes inside the control switch.
at least i dont have blown fuses anymore.

there are still some problems,
the blower only works at full speed,(only full hot or full cold,, strange because when i remove the large connector on the control unit and only use the blowerconnector it works on all speeds.

the main blower relais does not work, i have to use a jumperwire to feed the relais.

the hvac works , but not all vacuumswitches work perfect. the orange vacuumline makes a sissing noise when it s selected,, for only a second i can hear sssssjjt, the actuator was tested and ok , but does not move the airvalve when it should, seems a bad vacuumswitch. other actuators work well. but only on full hot or full cold

and the valve for the heatercore does not shut propperly, i have hot and cold airoutflow,,but , the cold air stays little warm
or some airvalve does not close up tight???
the system needs some more investigation.

at least i know now that i will be able to get this system back in service.

i have now cleaned the sliding contacts on the controlunit, maby that will solve some issues.
i have to reconnect some wires witch i had cut in surch for a short
and make some more tests.

one previous owner had ripped out the blowerrelais, trow in some wires and made the fuelpump work that way with a hanging loose relais. a fuelpump on a 25amp fuse, with a long thick wire,,

the short is back as soon as i reconnect the wires i had cut before,
i found out that the red/wite wires comming from J4 where creating the short.
i tested them all one by one, putting 12v on them.
the blower, the miniblower for the inside temp sensor where working perfect.

the third one i think is going into the hvac controlunit and is creating the short,,
i am now thinking that this hvac controler is from 1981 and will never work on my 84 because it is slightly different;
can someone please confirm this?
i do not have the 81 wire diagram,
the controler i have has a stamp on the cirquitboard dated 1981.
