You can manually adjust the seat by taking off the plastic cover on the front of the power mechanism (two small phillips screws). You'll see a hex recess there. I think it is a 6mm (can't remember). If the gears aren't broken, you can manually crank the seat to where you want it to go fore and aft. If you are going to mount a fire extinguisher there, don't bother putting the plastic cover back on as you don't use it with the fire extinguisher mount.
As a note, get a Halon fire extinguisher, not the cheap white powder one. 2.5# size will give you a chance to put out an engine fire, on yours or someone elses car. You never know.

Heed the advice on the fuel lines. Change them NOW before your car burns to the ground. Change the front and the rear lines. Easy job, good way to get your hands on your car. Roger at 928's R us can set you up. Of course so can other suppliers but I use Roger myself. Read the "before your first post guide" at the top of the forum. Buy the Work Shop Manuals from the sources here, not from someone on fleabay.

Lastly, drive it like you stole it. It won't disappoint you.

Thanks Jeff Will do. I contacted roger from the road for some advise. I plan on getting some stuff from him as well as others as I go forward.
