Default Rear Sway Bar Bushing sets

I've got a DR sway bar and am looking for the parts so I can install it. Got the bar from Sterling, who got it from Jim, who got it from Chuck, who got it from someone else. I helped Brad install his DR (complete) on his '81 and if I remember correctly, it had a different mounting bracket. (might be wrong)

I don't particularly want to source the parts myself. Can anyone give me their opinion of Carls set up http://www.928motorsports.com/parts/swaybarbushings.php for the rear. Are they compatible with the DR sway bar? Do the stops come with Carls kit? I know I can get the bushings about anywhere, and Roger has some in stock, but am needing the stopper/clamp/thingys.

Sean, As you know I also have the 928 Specialists front and rear sway bars. The original specs that Dave published says the rear bar used the factory stock bushings and brackets, so I think you only need the clamp on stops. Perhaps Dave Roberts can provide those.

Sean,

DR's rear bar uses the stock bushings/mounts. Using a stiffer bushing like Carl's may not be a bad idea, but you arent "missing" anything from your bar, as the instructions said to use the stock ones. Here is a link to the install instructions:

https://www.928gt.com/rearswaybarinstall.htm

Hope that helps,
Hans

Sweet, then I guess all I need are the round stops. If my thinking is correct, then I can just use the same poly bushings that I've got on the front. Thanks guys.

No the front bushings are a different shape and size than the fronts.

Gotcha, and I need a set of Drop Links. I think I get Chucks when we install the bars/Bilstiens so I should be set.

What year are you planning to do this?

You know Chuckles, he just needs to decide on a date to do it. He ordered the Bilstiens back around June and hopes to have them next week.

Make sure you grease those rear bushings when you reuse them. You'll also need a really big set of channel locks to re-clamp the bushings to the new swaybar.

Copper Anti-Seize works great for greasing the bushings!
Webster and Blandis had me do this on the front bushings almost 2 years ago and I haven't had 1 squeak!!

Sean, do you just want my front and rear Louie drop links?? You can have the Webster front bar with it when the time comes. I just got my DR front and rear bars yesterday.

Sean - I have the clamps that came with my as-yet uninstalled Carl's rear bushing kit. You're welcome to them if you want.

Oh... copper anti-seize. Maybe I should have used that on these poly bushings.
