Default If I wanted A/C back in my car...

The A/C was removed from my 82 by a PO. Has no components left in it. How hard to put it back in and more importantly, how much?

Thanks for any help,

That seems unlikely. He would have had to pull to the dash to remove the front evaporator.

You really need to get a full inventory of what is and isn't there.

I would guess the obvious stuff is gone, like the condensor, the compressor, and maybe the compressor mounting bracket. Along with that would be some of the lines and the receiver/dryer.

Can you post some pics under the hood? A good one would also be to pull the plastic splash shield that covers the trough above the firewall at the base of the windshield and post a pic or two of what you find there.

I will get pictures up when I can. You are correct about the evaporator, I replaced the heater core a few years back and I was clearly the first person in there.

If you do the work yourself, new compressor, drier, and expansion valve, and some used parts you should be able to do it for 1000-1500.
