They are the third revision of the four valve head, came out in 88 I think, they are the thick deck heads that need the longer bolts, good stuff.

I think they stayed until the GTS came out, those are 4R heads and have steam holes.

None of this is gospel from me.

The normal 5 liter hybrid has 16 valve heads on a 32 valve block.....so 32 valve heads on a 16 valve block ? stud spacing is the same might need different length on a few. Plus pistons need valve reliefs to match the valve layout

I think you end up with compression too high for pump gas, and the intakes don't swap back and forth do they?

Mr James Bailey, thank you much. It seems GB had talked of being able to notch pistons while still in the car. should do rings and bearings though i guess. Ray

For a set of R3 heads with cams that is a very good deal for some one who needs them.
