I was just cleaning up around the fuse area on my new 1980 EuroS, and followed a few cables to this, under the passenger seat.



I think its a radio for listening in on the police frequencies, before they went digital. The car is originally from Sweden, where the consequences of being caught speeding are pretty severe.

It works - but I couldn't pick up anything other than ambient noise.

Is this anything somebody wants, or should I just chuck it? Will keep it a few days before binning it, just in case somebody wants it.

wow.. thats a relic from the pre-digital days when you could actually hear the police .. Ya I doubt that is much use now.. sad

Actually boaters still use VHF - Ya Ebay of you dont have a boat.

Someone did want it. Some radio guy in Oslo just called me and wants it. Great that it will go to a good home :-)
