Thanks for all the input! Great stuff.
James are spot on at the reason for the negative camber up front. According to Michelin the PS Cup demands at least 2.0 to get up in the right temp on a 928. The raceclass is Porsche Sports cup and these are the only tires aloud.
I´ve been talking with Carl about his lower frame brace. Don´t know yet?
Mark, here are some numbers:
I have help from a raceengineer that do all the calculations for the car and the input is:
Raceweight 5kg/hp= 1650kg(for my class)
46% at the back and 54% in front
Racing at swedish tracks and Nurburgring
I run Bilstein/HR60mm.
In front I have 1700lbs/in and in the rear its 800. The Bilsteins are modified.
Front frequenz: 2,2Hz Rear frequenz: 2,6Hz
Wheelrate front: 428lbs/in Wheelrate rear: 514lbs/in
I have 928MS 32mm swaybars in front and rear. The engine is stock 330hp. A six point cage is going in soon and as you understand I dont mind a harsh ride to the tracks. For now I run 255:s and 225:s on 17 inch wheels.
The plan for alignment is:
Front camber -3.0
Front toe: 0mm
Caster: 4.0
Rear camber -2.5
Rear toe: 1,5mm
