I dunno... it came on a couple months ago when one of my front tires was low(?) In the end, I'm just glad the thinking is, it wasn't caused by something else--like a draging brake. Oh, and I'm also happy my wife and I (or someone else) didn't get hur or that it didn't happen this fall at the Texas mile or during one of my land-speed record attempts to get to the Austin *** meeting.
I noticed this evening that I am going to need a new plastic fender liner too.... Roger--help!
Thanks again everyone--I'm a smarter man. And let this be a lesson to all you little buckaroo car shoppers. Check the DOT date on the tires when you do the PPI!
I see this type of damage all the time. It happens very very quickly but I agree with most people on here about you lost air pressure and you were just riding low on the tire and finally the sidewall could not handle it anymore. Glad no one was hurt.
