If your valves are bent I have a set of heads off an 85 for $400 plus shipping

Thats going to be allot easier and cheaper than buying new valves and having a valve job

2.Sell as is.
3.Part the car out and help out all of the fellow rennlisters.
I will eventually buy another 928 with all of the lessons learned and because I like to read rennlist forum and look forward to reading and learning about a cool car.
The car is in good shape but it is not my first chioce as far as 928's go. I would like to get a 928S4 and put a chapagne interior in it. That would be a long term keeper.
I like all of the fellow rennlisters sense of humor and value all of your opinions, and boob pictures are good to. Mark
Regards your option #3 I have some recent experience at parting out a 928....hard work, and a lot of work too. That, and IME there will a few parts that move out very quickly and the vast majority will consume space for a long time to come. Also, the cost of shipping "stuff" has gone up considerably in the last couple of years, and a lot of 928 parts will need to be shipped via freight or in "oversized" boxes demanding a premium price, not to mention the hassle of packing and the like. A pair of seats should ship for about $80 by weight, but applying the "oversize box" formula, the new price was $277 to ship the seats....not good....just an observation.......

Pull the heads and have them rebuilt. You should be okay.

I just saw this. Ryan has a pretty damn good deal that may be too good to pass up for your car!

Very good idea. I'm sure there are doznes of old belts and WPs sitting on people's shelves collecting dust.

When my belt jumped, 6 years ago, I thought for sure it bent the valves (this was on the '85). 4 teeth on the driver and 3 on the passanger side. I trew another belt on to see and, sure to my suprize, all was well. So you might just get lucky. Would be a shame to write the engine or the car off without knowing exactly where you stand.
