Default not too bad ....

You dont want to even know how many hours it took to get this level.

this pic is from about 3-5 yrs ago. My track car has had MANY miles of pure track bliss since then.

If your going to do it - take the time to do it right and by the looks of it - You are.

Default Back together again!

The nightmare is over...

Much to my wife's annoyance, my weekday evenings and weekends for the last 4 weeks have been devoted to this interior restoration, speaker & amp install, and miscellaneous fixes. I got my AC reverted back to R12 along with a new compressor, and I got my rear AC working again (why bother indeed! it really only makes the front blow warmer...). I installed the new antenna wire, giving me radio reception for the first time in 3 years!

Beyond all of the restoration work and general cleaning (I think I went through a half-gallon of mineral spirits!), the most challenging task was to fab spacer rings for the over-sized rear woofers that fit the compound curves of the B-pillar panels - lots of pics of that process.

Special thanks to Rob Budd for providing quickly-shipped and perfectly-matched black vinyl for the spacer rings and the amplifier board.

And thanks to all of you crazy people who take apart your sharks at the drop of a hat!! You inspired me to take on this project and get 'er done. The stereo sounds great, the interior has been Dynamatted to serenity, the loose carpets are all glued down, and there isn't a rattle or squeak to speak of any more!

The pics will do the rest of the talking...

I'll be impressed when you take out everything, and then put it all back.

Didn't I? Or by "everything" do you mean the dash & center console too? If that's the criteria, then you will hopefully never be impressed!

Thanks for all the compliments! I am very happy with how it all turned out. My work is slow and plodding, but it pays a good dividend in neat work and low collateral damage levels. I learned long ago that impatience and rushing make for a mess...

Shouldn't the foam buffer that slides down the bowden cable connected to your door handle be about 2" from the handle instead of towards the rear of the door? (according to PET diagram)

Perhaps. I'm happy that that's the worst critique...
