Default Temp gauge antics redux '78, 928

I have done silicone fan routine, new thermostat, checked, cleaned 14 pin connections, fuse connection for left side of instrument panel, checked and cleaned inst. panel ground point, ditto engine ground and fuel pump ground point.. IR gun says temps, cooling ,etc. is normal. So I replaced temp sensor--same problem temp gauge reads above second white mark on gauge at normal operating temperature and continues to jump closer to red marker when blower for hvac is turned on. I have noticed that without engine running but with ignition key on temp gauge reads normal with elec fan on = a little before second white mark but as soon as I start engine it reads above second white mark again--does this point to where the electrical problem may be? This problem emerged after I recently replaced the engine wiring harness with one from Carl Fausett. I have experienced no wiring harness problems unless this is one. Any additional comments to those in response to my original thread is greatly appreciated.
