Yes L jets have a limiter controlled by the fuel pump relay. Once the engine revs past 6300 it cuts the fuel pump, but it does not instantly stop the engine becasue it takes a second or two for the pressure in the rail to decrease.

If it had to rev that high to bend valves.... there's absolutely no way I was near the car when it happened I've never seen it rev past 2500, I got a hold of the po last night, and he said his son drag raced it at bandimere once...

Betcha that's where it happened. Idiots both of them...

Everybody thanks for your help with this problem!

I got my new valves today from mark, all looks good and I've dropped them off for install. Should have my heads back on monday.

Did not expect this problem... arggh.
