Default fuel tank threaded insert source?

Well I dropped the fuel tank this morning and finally got the in-tank pump out with the stuck threaded insert still attached.

Insert looks pretty rusty from the inside. I have it soaking in PB blaster and will try to get it off in a few days.

As these cars get older it seems a shame to spend $1000 on a new tank (assuming they will still be available) or find a used one and hope for the best given there is a documented fix (JB Weld and alike).

Anyone have/ know a source for the threaded insert or have the specs to look into having one made? I know from talking to roger that there are different thread sizes depending on in-tank filter versus strainer.

Thanks

The threaded insert was only different for the 78 model year IIRC.

James was kind enough to let me take it home and see whether it might work Once I looked at it at the house I looked though the fluid level tube opening and see the plastic bowl mentioned before is not attached. I have grabeed it with a long set of mechanical fingers and it is complete detached.

The strainer is installed so it appears I would have to pull the strainer to get the bowl back in position but I do not want to risk trying to take the strainer out and end up with two tanks with loose inserts. Not sure what that bowl does but it is intact and secure in my tank so think I will proceed with the repair of mine.

All tips from anyone who has done the replacement of the threaded insert gladly accepted
