Default Dear 928 Specialists, I'd love to give you my money but...

Your site is unusable on all these browsers:

Firefox (PC & Mac)
Safari (PC & Mac)
Chrome (PC & Mac)
Opera (PC & Mac)

...leaving me with only Internet Exploder on a PC, which is the least secure browser and one I'd never think of using for an e-commerce transaction.

Sorry, but it's true. In fact, I didn't even know there was a left-hand navigation frame until I accidentally happened onto your site while using a work PC (I primarily use a Mac).

Not to be a jerk, but I think this is costing you money. Anybody else have this problem?

Nope, I use Firefox a - ok. I think there is a link on their main page to switch it, but this is the direct link.

I ran into the same issue when trying to find something, and ended up doing a search. I don't use IE anymore, except for browser testing. But I'm amazed how many people are still out there using IE6. It's hard to kill this beast!

My recommendation would be to eliminate the splash page and go right to the store default5 page. Splash pages are so 2005...

Been a fireFox user for years, never had a problem, so the problem must be you.

Yep, that fixes it in all of them. Serious, why isn't that the default?

I go to http://www.928gt.com and click on the "Click to Enter" link at the bottom or the big image and it takes me to: https://www.928gt.com/default1.htm

Been doing it for 3 years now, I think. The site's only been really helpful to me when doing a search (and for part number, if I remember correctly, you have to separate the numbers with dots (e.g., 928.555.555.5). Incredibly unintuitive.

Oh. I just noticed the red box at the bottom of the landing page --one of those foot-note type of things I never read, of course.

Here's a quick fix for your web site problems, www.928sRus.com . Works everytime and works even better when you call on a phone and get a pleasant human on the other end of the phone....

I use Firefox because I like it, and you're correct that usability isn't one of that site's strengths (If the site is optimized for IE 5.5 then it's probably creeping up on 8 or 10 years old anyway)... but how many millions of transactions get made via IE every day? You're paranoid if you'd "never think of using it for an ecommerce transaction" Lighten up, Francis. It's just a website.

It's just my credit card number, expiration date, security code. Lost your identity recently... Substitute?

Another point of concern.

In your effort to impress us all with your supreme internet/platform/browser/security knowledge, you've overlooked the fact that if anyone was was having their identities stolen from completing transactions on that site, this is the very first place it would be discussed, and loudly. Have a Xanax or two, and order something new for your shark. It'll be ok. Really.

The security of IE isn't really a transaction problem through a site with a proper SSL communication. Your browser will alert you that you have a stable conection. As long as YOUR browser is up to date you will be fine ordering from someone with an SSL certificate.

Ill admit that I have never seen that thing at the bottom to switch to a different page to work on other browsers. I have just avoided the site, but now I see its there. They need to spend a couple bucks and get someone to CSS the whole thing and make it compatible across the board. IE has really lost its grab on the market from where it once was.
