Default Stud Kit

In the process of installing my oil pan stud kit, but have no instructions. Do you lock-tite the studs in place? What are the lengths you should make the studs?

Thanks
Dave

Dave,
Put all the studs in so that the amount of threads remaining allow for the gasket, oil pan and lock nut plus about 3 threads. Use blue loctite after you have cleaned all the holes & studs with brake cleaner.
The surface of the gasket and oil pan should be clean and grease free and use no sealant.
DO NOT overtighten the gasket - if it bulges at all that is to much.
Two fingers pressure on the end of a 10mm wrench is about right.

Exactly what Roger said.!

Note: some of the holes go straight through, so set the length/depth of the studs by bottoming out the ones that don’t, then make them all the same.
