The clicking sound is from around intake manifold area. It is about 2 click per second.

Got the rebuild LH brain back from JDS. It alive....

So the LH can die by sitting in the garage. I guess that is better than sitting 1000 miles away at SITM.

This is the 3rd time the 928 die in the garage coming back from SITM. The first time is the water pump, 2nd was trans leak, this time is LH brain. I don't want to think what it might be next year.

Think along the lines of 'interior light bulb' as the next failure opportunity. Put a spare in the car now, so when the original fails you'll have the replacement with you. Problem avoided, so you can enjoy your trip!
