Default Please help identify part 928 812 612 531 01

I included the part number in the title in case anyone ever needed to find this information again, but again, I am trying to find out what the hell part number is. That is the number for the one on the driver's side, the passenger's side is slagged from the fire, so I don't know what the number on that one is. The part is black with some cream-colored connectors going into it. I've attached a picture of the driver's side part below.

Can someone tell me what this part is, what it does, and why I should care about it? Thanks in advance!

Part # 928 812 612 531 01, according to the side of the black plastic casing.

Also, I tried searching the PET pdf I downloaded from the porsche site, but had no luck finding it. Either it's not in there or the search algorithm on Preview is really crappy.

Too many #'s, it's listed in PET as 928 612 531 01. It's the driver's side connector housing clip for the front ABS and RDK sensor harness.

Same connector housing on both sides of the car.

What is the RDK sensor?
Doesn't apply to an '88. RDK = tire pressure monitors.

Same connector housing on both sides of the car.
Agreed, but strangely enough PET 7.1 lists 2 separate part #'s.

Without RDK (the empty socket), the two plugs that are there are the ABS sensor and the brake pad wear sensor.
