Jarrod you would definitely be the right new owner for this car. It really does need someone as crazy as you and I to continue it's care.
I would have serious reservations selling this to someone for daily use, it will stay in my hands until the right owner comes along.

Rarely, if ever has a high $ 928 found a new home after somebody posted it FS here; instead it usually gets thrashed. I know you know that....... I think you're making a mistake getting rid of this very special GT for a boxster but that's just me.

What a beautiful car. After I sold my last one several years ago, I had the habbit of comparing every car I drove to it. These 6 cyl cars can go fast but just don't deliver the same experience of an extrememly compfortable GT with a v8. Wow. My guess is that you will remember this car with fondness for years to come. Maybe even some regrets down the road.
Best of luck. If my wifes book will just sell like hotcakes maybe in 6 months.......

The materials used at the time - particularly the linen leather - were not as durable as they are today. You'd soon see some serious wear that deteriorates the value of the car. Then someone would damage one of the special leather covered items, and no one could repair it to match the others, or would want to spend the money to have it done properly.
Next thing you know, there is a hodge-podge of "home made" cheapo fixes and nobody would remember which ones are original, and which ones are not. The US has then lost one of a hand full of original Exclusive cars that will never be replaced or properly restored...
If you want a daily driver, get a car that is not as special and unique, and can be maintained easily. This is not it.
