Mark, yea it is just under 8" back spacing...I will need to put about a 1" spacer on them more than likely, but I am having problems with some of my slicks not fitting on the front because of the profile of the sidewall... they are 25.5" instead of 25" and have a very square shoulder...

I needed the 19" so that I can run 380mm rotors.
Colin,

What did you end up doing for tires... I was looking at the R888's (315/35-18 for my wheels) and about fell out of my wheelchair when I saw they are $279 EACH! Then I looked at some of the other competition tires and DID FALL OUT! HOLY CRAP! Some of them were $350+/tire! OMG!!! That is what an entire set of good used slicks cost me!

Anyway, just looking for some other alternatives guys...what do you all think? I have never bought DOT tires in this size before.

James,

I have not got the tires yet.

However at $279 a piece is NOTHING up here!!!! They want $300/tire for 225/45r17 R888

this is why I get them from the USA.

James, I've been searching craigslist for takeoffs. There seem to be 19's out there for better than what you are finding. We'll see.

Tom,

Since my wheels are 18's those 19's are gonna be a TOUCH BIG! I thought for sure I could find some decent and not TOO expensive crappy DOT tires for them so I can just have some NON-slicks on the race car when I (rarely) take it out on the streets (technically, it is street legal and I might even pursue that eventually)!

I think there are some take off slicks in that size too (at least I sure hope so...would be nice to have a set of slicks for the car as well as "wets").

Here's the source I intend to use: http://www.nasaforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=17943

$50-60 per tire in most cases. Shipping is murder to the West Coast though. I'm hoping to find a local used tire supplier...

I need two of these Moda MD1 18" wheels...
Can anyone sell me two 18x10 or 18x11 wheels?
I need to get two 18's for the front and have all 19's. I can trade the 19's for 18's as well.
I can even trow in some good used Hoosiers....
thanks

It would be very helpful if Tirerack wheel pages had similar spec page available as there is for tires. Simple list of available diameters, widths, offsets, bolt patterns and center hole possibilities. That would help a lot. For example Sport Edition Cup 5 fits to 928 I believe but its not listed directly under car model selection. There might be business reasons not to show it but I can't see it being too dangerous as info is available. It just takes time to dig up.
