Default Inner Fender well panel "Sealing Strap" options

The 88 I purchased is home. Yes I trailered it..... I know, I know.

Sean already called me a ***** via text and to may face.....would have said the same to him so I deserved it....should have drove it.....

Spent today taking care of petty items. Getting rear markers working (was the plugs in the rear hatch), and up front both bulbs were burnt.

Passanger side wheel well panel is in bad shape, will get with Roger to get a new one. On the drivers side front wheel well, has a bunch of sealing strap (like foam weatherstripping) that just crumbled when I pulled the panels out. Part number are 928 504 223 04, 928 504 223 05 and so on. Porsche list the parts as "Sealing Strap". There are 4 different pieces I believe. What do most of you use to replace these? I have not made a visit to HD or Lowes yet. Sure I can find something there to make do, just wanted to see if any of you had something in mind. Search did not turn anything up.

Is part 19, 19a and 19b in the link below

What do most of you use to replace these?
The factory pieces are $20ish, all in:

1.00 3.54 3.54 left front wheelwell sealing strip - horiz U 928 504 223 05
1.00 3.48 3.48 left front wheelwell sealing strip - forward vertical strip 928 504 223 04
1.00 3.51 3.51 left front wheelwell sealing strip - long vertical 928 504 223 07
1.00 3.53 3.53 right front wheelwell sealing strip - long vertical 928 504 223 08
2.00 3.68 7.36 left and right front wheelwell sealing strip - short vertical - need 2 928 504 223 09

Cross sectional dimension is ~1.40" x 0.80". So two strips of 3/4" square foam weatherstripping stacked on top of each other would work.

Otherwise there's

Porsche parts are cheap enough at under $20.00 but I've used pipe insulation from HD for under $2.00. Lasts just as long and actually seals better.
