Has anyone done a 928S4 rear bumper conversion to an early car?

The car has headers and a custom exhaust on it. I don't remember the details of it, but I'm pretty sure that he has the exhaust exiting out the back, like it would with that bumper cover on the '87+ cars.

Richter12x2.......your car looks great! I am familiar with AIR and their conversion kit. I actually helped a friend install one of these a number of years ago on his 1979. I've also met the owner of AIR, and I agree.......He's a very nice guy! Very personable! I bought some fiberglass parts for my 911 awhile back. At that time he had quite a large collection of Bob's Big Boy memorabilia. He had a mini-museum!
The fiberglass conversion kit wasn't too bad to install except for a bit of modification to fit as usually expected with aftermarket parts. I prefer to use factory parts for obvious reasons, but the metalwork mods are making me re-think!

I'm not a stranger to metalwork, for sure, but when it comes to taking the die grinder to my 928, I still get just a touch nervous. Plus, when I did my checking, a used S4 rear bumper cover was going for almost as much as the entire AIR front and rear kit, and you'd still need the taillights.
