BILSTEIN SHOCKS - Summer Sale - $750
During June we have been offering to our overseas customers a special on a full set of 4 Bilstein Shocks for $750.
Now it is officially Summer wanted to offer the same to my customers at home.
Set of 4 shocks complete with adjuster nuts and lower spring perches.
I have about 30 sets left so plenty to go round.
Great combination with the Eibach Springs that Mark at 928 International sells.
Package weighs about 25 Lb so you can calculate shipping.

Wow.. you reading my mind. This is a super deal >Olympic autoparts just quoted me 350 per shock.
[not that I though I was at that 'stage' yet but with a deal like this who can wait]

Great special Roger! For those replacing Boges, are there any other odd parts required in addition to the adjuster nuts and lower spring perches?
Assume these are the M474 option shocks from the old days, safe to think they'd ride and handle similarly to the red Boge M474s on my GTS?

I've driven both reds w/ Club Sport springs and the Bilsteins w/ Eibachs (which are currently installed on my car).
IMO, the Bilsteins give a softer ride for around town. One thing I don't like about the B/E combo is I get a "bouncy" feeling around town. I think the problem is that there is very little damping under light loads. This is just an annoyance, not a deal killer. Now, before I installed DR's swaybars, I would get a floating feeling in the turns. But this last SITM the car was FLAWLESS in the twisties. I know I could have pushed it more - braked later, accelerated harder, etc. As of right now, however, I will not touch my suspension.
The red/CS combo gives an ultra hard ride regardless of the roads you drive - ALL THE TIME! Great for the twisties, sucks for around town. For a long time I thought this was the setup I wanted, but now, I think I'll stick with the B/E combo. I would recommend to anyone thinking of the upgrade to also consinder the front and rear swaybar package.

Hey Andrew, I'm a little slow on the above ... are you familiar with both Boge Reds and Bilsteins and saying they're pretty similiar in ride and handling? I will probably stay with stock springs since my car is an M474 and I find the ride ok, just ready to refresh my tired old 140K mile OE Boges ...

I can't say they are similar. I can say they the boge reds seem to have better damping charateristcs for around town, but the ones I tried were mated to a set of club sport springs and the thing was ROCK HARD!
The Bilsteins seem to have very little damping when driving around town going over littel bumps (like a cobblestone road). It could be a function of the spring for all I know, but it just seems a bit bouncy. Like I said, not a deal killer for me, just an annoyance.

Were the Bilsteins a special order?
