I am still on the hunt for a door lock tumbler.
I have my lock completely disassembled and can transfer all the internal components. Just need a good tumbler itself.
Anyone have some spare doorlock parts laying around that could help a brutha out? If you need a few bucks for it no problem, I just need this doorlock finished.
Bernie what part is the tumbler?? the center section where the key fits??
the rear section that actuates the lock rod??
the section that moves the alarm?
What part is broken on your lock cylinder?? I have a few pieces of taken apart alarm locks but most of the pieces are damaged in one way or the other
Here's the piece he needs. I sent one but it had a slightly skewed trim cover where the key inserts, and I think he might have broken it trying to better situate it. I have another but it has damage from drilling out the lock pin.
Bernie i have one that you can have,
it has a drill hole in the slot where the retaining pins fit but i think it should work fine the small centering tab is still intact
Correct, I tried to better situate the end cover and had put a little pressure on it to keep it together in a vise while trying to crimp it down better. Had no idea it was so soft and it pressed the first channels together a bit. Just enough to make it so the keyways wouldn't slide back in. It sucks but it happens sometimes.
As long as the part is sound, I am sure it would be fine and I greatly appreciate the help.
