Andrew wasn't kidding -- I think you will find that is a decent price. Sorry.

OK, this thread by a fellow 90GT owner has prompted an "uh-oh" moment. In my 4 years of ownership, I've had mine flushed twice with synthetic Castrol GT LMA (low moisture absorbing) fluid, but I can't control what service it received (or didn't receive) prior to my ownership. The PSD system is an easy thing to overlook (not saying Popo did, to the contrary, his car was incredible at OCIC). I sure hope we don't start seeing a rash of these type threads from '90-'95 owners.

I bought a used one from 928 International last June.

Perfect part at less than half the price of a new one.

Most of these sit dormant for the longest time besides flushing and filter replacement the slave (pin) requires to be exercised on a regular basis

I tried 928 Int and they are out. I was hoping there was one from a parts car laying around or something. Maybe I'll just tell 928 Int. to call me when one comes available.

The PSD seems to never been flushed as best as I (actually Greg Schickle) could tell. It was pretty nasty for fluid. The strange part was that there is no accumulator. There is some sort of cap where it should be. I can't tell if there ever was one there. Maybe it came through Canada without one? It triggers the green light, and then flashes the red warning until the wheel spin stops, and then resets when traction is found. I think if I find a tank, I'll be in business. Nevertheless, 1st gear will continue to be useless for me until I can track one down. Consider me on the hunt to find one from here until I post otherwise in this thread.

OK, so we're not talking failure here. Can you post of pic of your setup? I've never seen a PSD with no accumulator. Even though your GT came from Canada, I thought all North American 928's were the same mechanically (by that time anyway), except for instrumentation in KM instead of MPH.

I wonder if there are any other Canadian 90+ 928's to look at and compare to. I know of at least one Canadian 89GT in the US (white w/lipstick red interior), but the 89's didn't have PSD...

Yeah, I'll try to show you a picture soon. The Canadian thing is a guess, and probably wrong too. I think it's more likely it left the factory without one.

As Rob noted, it sounds like its working right and may be missing the filter/reservoir.

This is nasty, old brake fluid.
It is shocking how bad it can get.
