FYI

Depending on the wheel offset, 275's and 285's usually fit without rubbing. I recently test fit some 295/35's on my 81, with a rolled lip there would be no issues.

Nothing wrong with 265's, just sharing the data.

What size fronts are you shooting for?

Bridgestone RE760:
235/40-18
265/35-18 or 275/35-18

I'm confused, your limited selection I assumed was narrowed down based on available fronts.

Tire Rack has 55 tires to pick from in 265/35-18 ranging from $98 to $348 a piece.

Running Kumho Ecsta SPT's on my GT (although they're 19's) and been very happy with them, especially the price. Got them from Tire Rack.

An important question is what are you running on the fronts? Mixing different makes, tread patterns and rubber compounds is likely to lead to unpredictable handling at best and dangerous at worst.

A well setup Shark handles great, why compromise it?

The fronts have Dunlap 9000's that are no longer avaliable!
Yes there are a lot of tires my size, the tire rack first search only came up with a few. I find it very hard to figure out what to get, I will not track the Euro so ride and handling are my goals.

One thing to consider is the treadwear numbers and traction/temperature. The higher number tires will last longer but will give up some grip. The lower numbers will give fantastic grip but will wear quickly. I would look at your fronts and see what they are rated at and try to find rears with a similar tread pattern and wear/traction/temperature ratings.

Also how old are the fronts? Everyone worries about tread depth where age is just as if not more imporant. I will never use tires more than 4-5 years old on any car I own. I don't care how much tread is left. This is especially true with performance tires.

Buy these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=310224778369

Would be a better match than any new tire. Then once the fronts or rears are worn, time to buy another matching set.

The G Force T/A from what I have read are loud as well. I have been shopping for rubber for a while and this is what I have on my short list.

General Exclaim UHP
Bridgestone RE760
Yokohama S Drive
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo
