928S4, White w/Brown interior for sale at SITM

Sitting at the airport this morning waiting for my plane. Land around noon, should be on the road by 2pm, then 9-10 hours home!
Quick question...seller says the cruise control works off and on(right now it's not working). Is there anything I can easily check to see if I can get it to work?
Thanks,

Intermittant sounds like a computer problem so no easy fix. If it is vacuum, you might luck out and find a loose or cracked tube behind the carpet next to your right knee, below the center console. A philips head would get access. Maybe some duct tape. Congratulations.

Thanks, Steve. Will take a look at the vacuum tube. Maybe I'll luck out.

Wow..at the $17.5k its very good value with all the maintenance up to date and such an awesome condition interior. Buying a "cheap" $8k car wouldn't get you even close to as nice by the time you hit $17.5k.
Score!
On the cruise - possible problems are:
a vacuum leak somewhere on the HVAC/cruise side of the blue check valve, in which case cruise may work at high rpm's
binding/rough cables on the throttle body
filthy gunked up cruise actuator
I'd rule out brain as it wouldn't be intermittent.. it just wouldn't work (in my experience).
None of them help you for the drive home, but just enjoy the go-faster pedal

Congrats on the purchase Eric and have a safe trip!
I also had an intermittent Cruise Control problem on my 87. It was vacuum related and was isolated to the diaphragms in the dash. It also caused an issue with HVAC controls.

Made it home last night
Started around 2pm yesterday...home by 11:30. Car made it no problem and is in really nice shape. I really like the 5 speed!
