Chris,
It had been FAR too long not seeing you. The changes you've made have been correct, and it shows.
Your lady and her daughter were very nice and gave me some great info on the area I'm looking to move to. Please thank them (again) for me.

Rixter, thanks for posting those 2 pics!!! That was when she was at her peak. What my ex did was a real shame!!! Oh well, hopefully I can get me a nice 928 soon. It was great seeing you at SITM. Did I give you my contact info??
Jim Moorehouse- Hey Buddy!!!!!!!! Great to hear from you there Mr. Deerslayer!!!!!!!! I sure miss the old gang from the early 2000's. We sure had alot of fun on the First Annual Fall Mountain Drive. (AKA-Thunder in the Mountains)
Eric, I didn't realize that was you either!!! Heck, I've known you here on Rennlist for 8 years or so, and had no idea what you looked like. I wish I had known it was you. Any way, it was great to meet you. Was that cute brunette with you?? Is she the Mrs?? She was very nice and we got to chat some on the Land of Oz tour.
Well, that's enough for now. Gotta get back to work.

Chris,
Welcome back... I was just a lurker in the 928 section when you had your car, but I remembered you were from the Greenville area. I just moved to Spartanburg; we will have to get together sometime. I've opened a 928/911/Porsche based business in Spartanburg, and will soon be sponsoring Rennlist. Let me know if you would like to stop by sometime!
BTW, my fiance and I LOVE Greer. We will actually be at the wine festival tomorrow evening in downtown. My sister lives in Greenville--love it as well. The upstate is such a great area.
Cheers,

It was great to see you again Chris. Your Carolina Dyno Day in May of 06 introduced me to the social side of 928 ownership. I had just picked up my 89 GT the month before. I drove there with John Pirtle and also met Dr. Bob while I was there. Both seemed like legends to me after spending the prior month glued to Rennlist. Thanks again for that. It sure was a pleasant surprise when I saw you in the hotel parking lot at SITM. I hope you find your way back into another 928 soon but either way, welcome back to the family.

Hi Chris,
Great to see you and reminisce a bit at SITM!
Good luck with your search and hope you find a 928GT to your liking! It will be fun to see what you do with the new one...
Kind regards,

Here you go Chris...
I was about to offer a trade of my car for Crystal's hand in marriage -but then I saw this '89GT for you:
https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ent-89-gt.html
We are all happy with the progress you have made and your sheer survival from the 'ex' experience... and I am glad to have met you & the family at SITM '10!

Thanks Barry. That car, while nice is a bit out of my prive range, not to mention that it's really too nice. Georgeous car for sure, and an EXACT duplicate of mine when I first bought it in '99, but I want a nice "driver" that has a few minor rock chips, scratches, etc... so I won't worry about getting them. I plan to drive the next one the same as my first, which is virtually every day. I really appreciate pointing me in that direction though. It's nice to have friends helping out. What a wonderful group 928 owners are!!
That all being said, I do have a line on a nice '89 S4 5 speed that has had plenty of "upgrades" done to it, that puts it right in line with my personality, and taste in cars. LOL. Hopefully everything will gel in the next week or two and I'll be back in the driver's seat.
Take it easy, and thanks again.

Chris,
It was a pleasure to have met all three of you. If your interested car within the Chicagoland area and need someone to look at the car, let me know I'm willing to help any time.
Good luck in your search.

Well, I opted for Giovanni's '89 5 speed mit supercharger, so I am truly back now. Been prowling the roads in my area having fun, and getting used to the driving dynamics of a 928 again. It feels good to be back!! Crap, I can't load a pic till I clean out my "manage attachments" zone. Oh well, just my luck. Any rate, we will definitely see everyone at SITM again this year, except WITH a 928!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this new one also going to get the star spangled treatment?
