Welcome back to 928 land. Sorry I didn't get to SITM to see you again and welcome you back in person. SO glad you survived the physical problems and emotional strain of the ex-wife situation. Good luck, and I'm sure you'll find the right 928 soon.

Not to hijack this thread, but did this white S4 happen to be a 5 speed? I am looking for a 928 as well. If you have any info on this, please pass along.

Sorry I don't know the owner's name but it had a for sale sign. I forgot how much, either $16.5k or $17.5k and it had around 50-60k miles.

Thank you so much everyone!!!!! It will take me days to answer each question, so I'll start with what iteration of 928 that I'm looking for:
86.5> 5 speed. Mechanically sound, taken care of, even if it's not perfect. (rather have one that's a good driver, rather than a show queen.) Reasonably priced. (<$5K-$16K) No real color preference at the moment.

P.S.-- Gio, I will call in the next day or so when things slow down. (I am still very interested.)

I'm glad to see you back! You were one of the first ones here.

I'll be throwing my car for sale hat in the ring soon.
An early (#168) 87 S4 white with black interior, 5 speed, LSD, non-sunroof, 69k.
$16k. It's in pretty good shape and has a nice interior, clean carfax etc. Also a premium sound system.
