Based on my assessment, the car needs:
- thorough timing belt check (should be done ASAP!)
- replace K&N with regular air filter
- rear tires
- motor mounts (do oil pan gasket at the same time)
- intake and valve job (including the WYAITs)
- adjust the hood hinge on the driver side
- tools (missing)
- belly pans (front and back missing)
- spare tire and cover, compressor (missing)
- plus a few other little things here and there
Given the age and mileage, preventive replacement of coolant hoses and fuel lines might be a very good idea.
I would also consider putting new carpet in and possibly having the seats redyed (no scuffs or tears in them).
The car has been repainted, but the paint is quite amazing, except for three pencil eraser sized bubbles. It took me a while to figure out that it had been repainted - and I usually spot this quickly! It is only visible in the drivers side door jamb. I could not find any evidence of accident damage.
With a little effort, this will be a really nice example of the 928, and I hope to see Chris join us for gatherings and other events!
