Boganspeeds Grunt Injection - LS1 conversion

Love the covers! My 91 is just race so wouldn't want to use them, but the new LS6 sure could use something like those. What are they off of?
Just a note about GM alternators and Porsche central electric. We ultimately stripped almost every bit of wire harness out of the 91, but before we did, we had issues with voltage regulators on the GM alt going bad. Seems we needed to run a little resistance in the exciter wire. No problems since. You might also want to use a PS pump that matches the rack. If rack is original, it may not like more than 1000 psi and high flow.

The covers are just e-bay jobs and were plain LS1 fibreglass covers and then I had a mate throw some paint on and another mate knock up the stickers.
The problem I have just found out is that the cross brace won't fit with the covers on. So i now have to either not use them, make up some sort of spacer to move the cross brace further forward or not use the brace at all.
Not sure which yet, that's low prority atm.

Great project. Purists gasp, but I'm a huge fan of the LSX engine swaps, RX-7s, 240SXs, and various Porsches to name a few. They just seem so incredibly reliable and make great power. Please keep us updated. I followed Black Forest Racings first swap of an LT-1 into a 928 and they had a lot of fitment issues - specifically with RH headers not fitting correctly and having to be cut and rewelded for clearance.
How is the clearance of the oil pan over the front cross member. Looks pretty close in one shot. Any concern over that pan hitting the cross member as the motor mounts start to age and settle?
Would love to get your final impression of the RH kit when your done. If my 16V ever totally craps out, this swap was in the back of my head.

Wow, just saw this thread. I see RH just added a steel plate to their C5 adapter. What would be trick is to get a 2-piece removable shaft on the auto TT's just like the 5-speeds have for easier TT removal.
I like the Logo, maybe something a little more subtle like...... LS-Porsche
The 928 is going to be alot easier to make headers for the GM swap than the 944. Looks like a set of long tube Camaro headers reworked will fit the bill from those pics. Great work

In general Porsche makes great cars with great engines, the underpowered 944's and early US 928's perhaps not so great. But the 32V is still an awesome powerplant and short of some very exotic V8 or V12 I would never swap out a 32V M28 for any reason.
this no make sense..... say you what..... no speakeeee whatever you say

After alternating driving one, then the other for a couple years now, I'd pull a 32V and replace it with the 16V in a heartbeat.
Speaking of heartbeat, I'd replace a Chevy truck engine with one, too. Rid myself of the leaky, piston slapping cookie cutter junk.

That must have been one sick 32V
