Default "Rocker panel" removal

Ok, solved the ride height problem apparently. Next one..

Are the rocker panel covers attached with double stick tape. I know there are screws along the bottom, but I assume the top is held in place with some adhesive.

Anyone removed theirs and have tips.

I did a fruitless search and don't have my WSM with me.

Thanks
Rod

I had to pull off the cladding behind the front wheelwell. All it took for me was screw removal followed by peeling off the panel. The hard part for me was getting it back on. I don't know what product should be used, but the 3M double-sided tape designed for the purpose didn't really work for me very well. Maybe someone else has some advice?

Did you warm it when you peeled it off. That works well on other trim pieces that are "glued" in place.

I don't want to put any permanent bend in it. I'm replacing it with the AIR kit, but I may want to use it again.

I had to "re-stick" one of the rocker panels behind the left front wheel on my GTS and used trim tape which worked well and has held for ~ 5 years. If I remember correctly it was originally held on by a similar product. I'm not sure I'd heat it to remove it b/c you might warp it? A well placed putty knife might work better? Good luck. Pics of the AIR kit when done? Are you doing the front and rear bumper parts too?

Yes, front, sides, and back. I got it all over a year ago, almost two in fact, but "issues" at home.. divorce.. had put me behind schedule, but now I'm back on track. Took them all down to the painter yesterday, but I don't know if I can get the new clutch in and all of the parts on before next friday or not. (for SITM).

I'll certainly post pictures when I get it together.

These are the parts I got: http://www.americaninternationalraci...alleryid=25921 http://www.americaninternationalraci...alleryid=25922 http://www.americaninternationalraci...alleryid=25923
