Early cv axles can be swapped to later cars.
On my 84 928, I installed hub carriers and control arms from an early model car complete with the splined bolt-through flanges which look just like the transmission output flanges. I'm very sure the control arms are identical, so with just a hub carrier swap and flanges early cvs which bolt on both sides can be fitted. It makes rebuild/ replacement much easier and you can be 100% certain you removed every bit of grime from your cvs before repacking with grease. I don't have any pictures of the install however. I'm unsure how the abs system would interfere as I don't have abs. Custom hub flanges could be machined to remedy that if needed I imagine.
