man, ain't that the truth!
BTW, I finally did the Dr Colorchip on the Blumaxx the other day - minerva blue metallic - and it is working well! Will need 2 coats, unlike the non-metallic red on my mustang (one coat was fine), but it is working, and I am happy with the results thus far.

I know touch-up paint is included with the Dr. Colorchip kit, but I wonder if other paints would work in conjunction with their removal fluid. The reason I ask is I have a can of color-matched spray paint from Paintscratch.com. My thought is to touch up my front bumper cover with the spray, then wipe off the excess with the removal solution from the kit. I think this would be faster than trying to touch up each individual chip. Has anyone tried using other paints with their kit?

Don't think that would work well Jarrod - the wipe off stuff doesn't just easliy wipe off the paint - you need to gently apply a couple of swipes with it. I think it would be very difficult to try to wipe a large area with it, and all of the paint would not come up where it was supposed to.

This thread is a couple of years old at this point, so curious if anyone can speak to the longevity of the Dr. Colorchip treatment?
Thanks!

I don't have a 928 anymore, but it lasted for several years on my G37 until i sold it.

PROTIP: do ALL your chips, and keep up with any new ones ... i tried to touch up a few a year later, and the paint was all dried up - it does not last, and says so on the label about the shelf life being a year or so.
